The Coated Vicryl Plus Antibacterial Suture, Undyed Braided, Size 2-0, 1" x 27", CTB-1 Needle is a synthetic, absorbable suture designed for effective soft tissue approximation and ligation. It is composed of a copolymer of 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide, providing predictable absorption and reliable tensile strength during the healing process. The undyed, braided design ensures easy handling and minimal tissue reactivity.

This suture incorporates Irgacare MP (triclosan), an antibacterial agent, which reduces the risk of surgical site infections by inhibiting bacterial colonization along the suture line. The antibacterial coating supports enhanced patient safety during surgical procedures and helps maintain sterile conditions in the wound environment.

The suture is intended for general soft tissue use, excluding ophthalmic, cardiovascular, and neurological applications. It features a 1/2 circle needle (CTB-1) with a 36 mm size, optimized for precise tissue penetration and smooth passage through soft tissue. The 27-inch (70 cm) length allows sufficient material for a variety of procedures, facilitating efficient suturing and knot tying.
