Coated Vicryl Plus Antibacterial Suture is a synthetic, absorbable suture designed for soft tissue approximation and ligation. It consists of polyglactin 910 and is coated with triclosan, an antibacterial agent that reduces bacterial colonization at the surgical site. The antibacterial coating has been proven in vitro to create a zone of inhibition against Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, MRSA, and MRSE.
