Cosentyx Sensoready 300 mg Pen is a biologic medication indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis. It is a fully human monoclonal antibody that selectively inhibits interleukin-17A (IL-17A), a pro-inflammatory cytokine involved in the pathogenesis of autoimmune disorders.

The active ingredient, secukinumab, binds specifically to IL-17A and prevents its interaction with cellular receptors, thereby inhibiting the inflammatory cascade that leads to skin and joint damage. This targeted mechanism offers a highly effective and precise therapeutic approach compared to traditional systemic treatments.

Cosentyx Sensoready Pen is a prefilled autoinjector designed for subcutaneous administration. The initial dosing regimen consists of weekly injections for the first five weeks, followed by maintenance dosing every four weeks. The pen allows for self-administration in the thigh, abdomen, or upper arm, with site rotation recommended to minimize injection site reactions.
