Surgicel® Absorbable Hemostat is composed of oxidized regenerated cellulose, designed to provide rapid hemostasis during surgical procedures. The material is sterile, bioabsorbable, and conforms easily to the contours of the surgical site. Its structure promotes clot formation by offering a physical matrix for platelet adhesion and aggregation, facilitating the control of capillary, venous, and small arterial bleeding.

The sterile 2 x 3 inch pads are individually packaged to maintain integrity and reduce the risk of contamination. Surgicel® is indicated for use in general surgical procedures, including cardiovascular, orthopedic, and soft tissue operations. The material gradually degrades in the body without eliciting a significant inflammatory response, supporting natural tissue healing processes.
