Description

Coated VICRYL™ Absorbable Suture, Size 2/0, Undyed Braided, with FSL needle, is a sterile synthetic surgical suture made from Polyglactin 910, a copolymer of glycolide and lactide. The suture is coated with a mixture of polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate, which enhances handling characteristics and reduces tissue drag.

This suture is designed for use in general soft tissue approximation and ligation, excluding cardiovascular and neurological tissues. The undyed composition makes it particularly suitable for procedures where minimal pigmentation is desired, such as in cosmetic or subcutaneous closures. The 2/0 suture size provides moderate tensile strength for closing deeper layers, such as fascia and muscle.

The attached FSL needle is a 3/8 circle taper point needle, typically measuring 30 mm in length. It is designed for smooth penetration through soft tissues without cutting, making it appropriate for delicate internal tissues, especially in general, gynecologic, and urologic surgery. Its round-bodied design ensures minimal tissue trauma during suturing.
