Description
Suture, 1 8×18" Coated VICRYL™ Violet Braided with CTX needle, is an absorbable, synthetic surgical suture composed of Polyglactin 910, a copolymer made from glycolide and lactide. It is braided for flexibility and coated with polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate to enhance handling and knot tying. The violet color improves visibility during surgical placement.
This suture is indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, excluding cardiovascular and neurological tissues. The size 1 classification provides high tensile strength, making it suitable for closure of fascia, muscle layers, and other tissues requiring robust support during healing.
The CTX needle is a 48 mm 1/2 circle taper point needle designed for smooth passage through soft tissues. Its large size and curvature allow for efficient handling in deep tissue layers.
