The i-gel® Supraglottic Airway is designed to provide safe and effective airway management with enhanced patient comfort and reduced trauma. The device features a non-inflatable cuff made from a soft, gel-like material that ensures easy insertion and minimizes the risk of injury during use.

One of the key features of the i-gel® is its 15 mm connector, which allows for a secure connection to any standard catheter mount or breathing circuit. This ensures reliable ventilation and easy integration into the patient's respiratory system. The proximal end of the gastric channel provides an early warning of regurgitation, a critical feature in managing the risk of aspiration during procedures.

The i-gel® also includes a gastric channel, which is present in all sizes except size 1. This channel facilitates the passage of a nasogastric tube, allows stomach contents to be vented, and provides an early warning for regurgitation. The integral bite block reduces the chance of airway channel occlusion, while the buccal cavity stabilizer aids with insertion and prevents rotation.

The device is designed with an epiglottic rest that reduces the possibility of epiglottic down folding, thus preventing airway obstruction. The i-gel® is a sterile, single-use product that offers a reliable, safe, and effective option for managing airways in various clinical settings.
