Description

Double female adapter is a latex-free, sterile, non-DEHP formulation for the syringe to syringe transfer. It is a non-PVC lipid-resistant adapter that can carry 0.2ml of priming volume. The double female is used in procedures like radiography and angiography to control fluids and wastes and for injecting contrast media in patients. The adapter is intended for one-time use and is applicable to one patient only. Therefore, it should not be sterilized or reused and shall be discarded after a single use. If not, it can impair its functioning and structural integrity.

It is used to transfer fluids such as vaccines, drugs, blood, and solutions from the first container to the second container. For instance, the first container can be a vial, and the second container can be an intravenous bag, or the two can be syringes as well. The double female adapter serves as a tubing to provide a sterile fluid pathway between two devices.
