Fluzone® High-Dose 2025–2026 (Flu-114) is a high-dose inactivated influenza vaccine designed specifically for individuals aged 65 years and older. This formulation contains four times the amount of antigen compared to standard-dose vaccines, which aims to elicit a stronger immune response in older adults, a group at higher risk for severe influenza complications.

The product is presented in a 0.5 mL prefilled syringe, containing a single dose per syringe. Fluzone® High-Dose is administered via intramuscular injection, typically into the deltoid muscle. This vaccine is preservative-free, providing a safe and convenient method for healthcare professionals to administer the vaccine without the need for reconstitution. Common side effects may include pain, redness, or swelling at the injection site, as well as fever, headache, muscle aches, and fatigue. Serious adverse reactions are rare but may include severe allergic reactions or Guillain-Barré syndrome. Individuals with a known history of severe allergic reactions to any component of the vaccine should avoid its use.
